Lip Augmentation in Bellevue

Lip augmentation spans a spectrum: reversible filler for shape and volume, fat transfer for lasting fullness from your own tissue, and surgical options for structural change. Matching the method to the goal is the consultation's whole job.

Every injection here is performed by Dr. Day personally — the same hands that perform the practice's surgical lip work.

The design bar is proportion: lips that suit your face, matched to your anatomy rather than a trend.

The options

Every consultation — and every operation — is with Dr. Day.

Hyaluronic-acid filler shapes and volumizes in an office visit of under thirty minutes, with topical numbing beforehand and a vibrating device used during injection to occupy the nerves. The products are FDA-approved hyaluronic-acid fillers, with the formulation matched to the goal: a more volumizing product where fullness is the aim, a softer one where the aim is subtler definition. Which suits you depends on your lip anatomy and how much change you actually want.

Filler lasts around a year. How long is genuinely individual, shaped by how much was placed, where, and how quickly your body metabolizes it. It is also fully reversible with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that dissolves hyaluronic acid, which is the safety net that makes filler a reasonable way to try fullness before committing to it.

Fat transfer moves a small amount of your own purified fat to the lips for a longer-lasting result. Surgical options, including lip lift techniques and lip implants, change the structural proportions of the lip itself and are planned as true surgery, with their own consultation and recovery.

Every injection is performed by Dr. Day personally. The territory around the mouth is dense with vessels, and placement there is anatomy work.

Four things people mean by fuller lips

These are not the same treatment, and one of them is not augmentation at all. Sorting out which one you actually want is most of the consultation.

Hyaluronic-acid filler

Adds volume, shape, and definition in a single visit. Lasts about a year and dissolves on demand. The route the large majority of patients choose, and the sensible place to start if you are unsure.

Fat transfer

Your own purified fat, moved to the lips for a longer-lasting result. A surgical procedure with a real recovery, appropriate once you already know you like the added volume.

Lip lift or lip implant

Changes the structure rather than the volume: the distance between nose and lip, or the lip's own projection. The answer when the proportion is what bothers you, which no amount of filler corrects.

Lip flip

Not augmentation. A small neuromodulator dose relaxes the muscle above the upper lip so it rolls slightly outward, showing more of the lip you already have. It adds no volume. Some patients combine it with filler; some find it is all they wanted.

Is it right for you

If you want to preview fuller lips, filler is the low-commitment, reversible start. If you already know you like added volume and want permanence, fat transfer or a surgical plan is the conversation.

Patients must be at least eighteen. There is no upper limit, and the goal tends to shift with age: younger patients usually want definition or volume they never had, while older patients are more often replacing volume that thinned over time. Both are legitimate reasons.

Restraint is enforced at the point of injection. If a second syringe would push your lips past what your face carries well, Dr. Day will say so and stop. Declining to sell you more product is part of the job.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding defer injectable treatment. Active infection or a cold sore outbreak at the site postpones a session as well.

Recovery

Filler: expect swelling and possible bruising for twenty-four to forty-eight hours. Skip strenuous exercise and blood thinners for the first day; arnica gel helps with bruising. Most patients return to work the same day or the next.

Lips swell more than people expect in the first day or two, and the immediate result is not the result. The refined shape shows within one to two weeks, once that settles.

Fat transfer and surgical options carry a short surgical recovery, mapped for you in the consultation.

How the weeks before and after surgery fit together is covered in the practice's recovery guide.

I got Lip Filler today for the first time by Dr. Day and it was truly the best experience, He walked me through the entire process and listened to all my concerns and goals.

He refused to do two syringes of lip filler in case it was too much. … He's really very good at his artistry!
